Everything—and pretty much everyone—here is Thai, from the smiley shopkeepers to the day-old editions of the Bangkok Post they sell to the steady stream of migrant workers who head here for home comforts on their day off (yes, usually just one).

The dated complex is nothing to look at, but if you've been craving a pad Thai or mango sticky rice, the food court offerings here are whipped up with the same finesse as a Khao San Road street vendor.
