Situated in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills, Eat India Company serves a delectable mix of Hyderabadi, Lucknowi and Punjabi cuisine. The décor is full of ethnic touches, with antiques, paintings and a large kadhai hanging from the ceiling. All the dishes make excellent use of spices, with the highlights being the kacche gosht ki dum biryani, moong gosht, nalli ki nahari, and a range of kababs. Vegetarians will find plenty to choose from, with the dal Quereshi, dudhiya paneer tikka and Lucknowi dum aloo being especially recommended. There’s also a range of fresh breads to choose from, such as cream mawa ki khasta roti, dal ka parantha and warqi parantha. The pick of the desserts includes the Hyderabad-style shahi tukhda, as well as the saffron-flavoured phirni kesaria.
