Little style but plenty of substance

Given its location in the Beauty World Centre, you'd think Dulukala might be a bit more to look at. But when it comes to Peranakan cooking, it knows what it's doing.
Way out past the northern reaches of the Skytrain line, it sure is a trek to Dulukala, which is more the kind of place a local (with a car) would take you for an authentic meal—it routinely books out on weekends. The service is just as no-frills as the decor but with food this satisfying, do you really care?
