Alqantarah Restaurant

Located very conveniently in a quiet and peaceful suburb at about 500 meters from Petra's entry gate, lies the Al Qantarah Restaurant. The word Qantarah in Arabic means an arch and just like an arch supports the ceiling, this restaurant aims to support the culinary experience of its guests, both in terms of food and hospitality. They have tried to showcase the entire country here. Fresh and local ingredients are put to the best use to cook the most delicious food possible. The interiors are done in typical Jordanian style and there is local artwork on display. The traditional oven or the Taboun as it is called is used to bake bread before your eyes, where the chefs also let out tiny bits of information about the food, thus including you in the cooking process. The guests feel loved and taken care of and this really enhances the dining experience.
