Though Hanumanthu’s mutton pulao is hugely popular, Mysore has its fair share of the other delicacy—biryani. By far the most popular place is RRR in Gandhi Square and the biryani, either mutton or chicken, is delectable and on the spicy side, while the kebabs and the plantain leaf meals come a close second. However, owing to the significant presence of Mohammedans in Mysore, there are many little eateries and restaurants that specialize in the delicate and aromatic Muslim version of the biryani.
