As UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson lays down new rules for the country to come out of the quarantine in a step-by-step manner, there is a buzz about travel. According to new UK travel rules, international travellers coming into the UK will have to stay in a 14-day quarantine. However, this revised policy exempt certain visitors into the country.
These new regulations are expected to start from May 13. These rules will also be applied to passengers who travel by train, and ferry.
Those who are travelling from Manchester, Stansted, and East Midlands airports would be asked to wear masks and gloves. Airport staff is also required to wear them. Passengers would also be screened for temperatures at the Stansted airport; Heathrow Airport has been going through temperature check trials on a large scale already.
The UK and French governments are working together to take border measures, and the cooperation will help to strengthen management of the common border they share.
