Uttarakhand will soon be home to a grand temple of Sita in the Phalswari village, which was recently announced by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Referring to this, Mr Rawat mentioned that the proposed Sita Mata circuit, work on which has already been started, will prove to be a major milestone in terms of development in this region. He also asked every household from all villages in the area to donate a slab, a handful of land, and INR 11 each for the construction of the temple.
This news comes as a surprise to many as there aren’t many temples in our country that are dedicated to Sita, where she is worshipped sans Lord Rama. However, it is expected that this temple will attract people from across the world, and also give exposure to Pauri district and the other nearby villages in Uttarakhand.
