Torture Museum endeavours to document the history of human cruelty. The artefacts are laid out in a maze of small, dark rooms, creating a sombre atmosphere. The museum features a variety of interesting things, from well-known objects like the guillotine, the rack and the stocks, to lesser know objects like thumb screws and the flute of shame. Other objects displayed at the museum include the iron maiden, skull crusher, Judas chair, Catherine wheel and scold's bridle. Some of these are genuine and antique, but many are modern reconstructions from old texts or books. Some displays are behind glass, but many are kept open and can be touched.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
