Bali’s inland scenery may be even more beautiful than its sparkling coastline! Bali is blessed with lush, tropical landscapes and endless rice terraces in all shades of emerald green that offer stunning panoramic views.
The rice terraces are one of the most picturesque locations of Bali and there are also many little cafes, kiosks, and stalls selling local crafts, including fabulous ornamental woodwork and carvings of mystical creatures. Even though the most splendid terraced landscapes are found in Tegalalang, the ones in the nearby villages of Pejeng and Campuhan are also amazing and less busy with tourists.
If you want to further immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes, you can take a rice field trek or bike tour. Also see local Balinese villages, farming communities and craft workshops.
