Dubai is a city that is known for its larger-than-life creations. It boasts of an island in the middle of a desert, Lamborghini police cars, mobile phones made of gold, high-rise tennis courts, bathrooms that look like plus bedrooms and many other unbelievable features.
And that’s one of the best reasons why it should be chosen as an inaugural destination for a ship as grand as TITANIC! Yes, it’s true that Blue Star Line, the Australian shipping company, is in charge of the project that will build the replica of Titanic. The company had proposed to build a new Titanic vessel a few years back, but owing to financial issues, the project couldn’t take off. Now that the issues have settled, as reported by the USA today, the company has got on the job to work on building the almost exact replica of the original Titanic that set sail around 110 years back!
The replicated version of the Titanic is scheduled to sail in 2022, and it is being reportedly manufactured in China. The ship will pursue its maiden trip from Dubai to Southampton in England and then to New York as the original ship did in 1912.
What features will Titanic II have?
Leaving nothing to chance this time, the makers of the ship will equip it with high-end safety procedures and navigation techniques. Also, reportedly, the ship will be outfitted with the same lookalike cabins as seen in the original version, dining rooms, ballroom and luxurious staircase. The ship will have 2,400 passengers on-board and 900 crew members during its first trip.
Its future course
After doing its maiden trip from the United Kingdom to United States of America, Titanic II will proceed on to new trips to other destinations and travel around the globe, as reported by the USA today. However, the places that will be marked by its presence are yet to be announced.
Titanic is the most famous and doomed ships ever known to modern mankind. It hit an iceberg on an unfortunate night of 1912, and despite efforts to prevent the mishap, the course of destiny couldn't be altered. The grandeur of the ship has been perfectly shown in the Titanic movie which released in the year 1997.
