A unique temple
Situated in a village called Simsa, about 30 km from Baijnath, this shrine is dedicated to Sharada Devi. Numerous people from Kangra and Mandi districts as well as other parts of North India have visited the shrine of Simha Mata to get their wishes fulfilled.
Sleeping on the floor for a ‘fruitful’ dream
In such a case, the woman is supposed to leave the temple without any delay. Else, rashes develop on her body by some strange phenomenon, which ultimately forces her to vacate the premises.
As per the beliefs and popular lore, she sees an object made of stone, wood or metal, it means her prayers have not been answered by the Goddess.
How to visit?
Simsa village can be reached via Manali in a short time by road. For air travellers, the nearest airport is at Bhuntar, close to Manali.
