Earlier, Thailand rolled out its popular VOA scheme from November 15, 2018, to January 13, 2019, which has now been further extended till the end of October. It gives travellers the chance to save a substantial amount of around INR 4400.
The scheme proved to be extremely popular with tourists, thereby prompting the Thai government to extend it further. If the records are to go by, the percentage of foreign tourist arrivals in Thailand increased by 83 per cent from November to March as compared to the stats of last year.
As of now, the VOA scheme is available to tourists from 21 countries and regions, including India and China.
