Madhya Pradesh government will be organising a Royal Cuisine Food Festival from December 26 in a bid to promote tourism in the region. As per reports, the tourism department will be hosting the festival at the International Convention centre Minto Hall in Bhopal. This was recently announced by Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Tourism Secretary. Read less
The Managing Director informed that the food festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Kamal Nath. This festival will bring together royal cuisines of Madhya Pradesh from the royal families of Sailana, Bhopal, Jhabua, Rewa, Narsinghgrah, Holkar, Kurwai, Garha, and Jaora. Reportedly; representatives from these royal families, along with the cooks, chefs, and butlers, who are being involved in serving these royal families for generations via their culinary art, would be present at the festival.
The Tourism Minister also stated that the government would be inviting 15 royal families, who would be showcasing their cuisines during the four-day event. He further stated that famous food bloggers, writers and chefs have also been invited. The government is also planning to promote tribal tourism in Alirajpur, Jhabua, Barwani, Dhar, and other districts.
