The striking new Etisalat headquarters building is taking shape close to the Dubai World Trade Centre roundabout beside Sheikh Zayed Road. There is no part of Dubai more impressive than Sheikh Zayed Road, which stuns newcomers to the city with its glitzy designs. Among the most impressive buildings is the Emirates Towers office and hotel complex. Sheikh Zayed Road, which has five lanes on each side with a barrier in between, stretches 55 km from the Dubai World Trade Centre roundabout to the border of Abu Dhabi. Although Sheikh Zayed Road can get busy in certain stretches during peak hours, for most of the day, vehicles flow remarkably given how heavily the road is used. Sheikh Zayed Road meets other main roads in Dubai such as Al Ain Road, Hatta Road, Emirates Road and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road, among other arterial and main roads.
