Travel via the Virgin Hyperloop One could cost much lesser than we had imagined. The highly futuristic transportation company is building high-speed pods that would carry people and even cargo all across India in no time. As per reports, the price is looking to be lesser than what airlines charge. At this day and age when airline travel is on a rise, the pricing of Hyperloop One could change the game. However, the fares would be more than first-class train coaches.

Richard Branson, Founder, Virgin Group, has been trying to get into the Indian transport industry with Hyperloop One for quite some time, and it has been tested in Nevada where it reached a speed of 386 kmph. Branson had signed a preliminary agreement in February this year, where he suggested Mumbai-Pune route and reduce its travel time to 25 minutes. India is looking to launch the first Hyperloop for commercial use by 2025.
Meanwhile, Hyperloop One is also in talks with southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, as Josh Giegel, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, says that the plan is to build a national network in India.
