There would be some major changes in weather as a fresh western disturbance is likely to hit the western Himalayan region by tonight. Therefore, it is expected that the weather is going to gain pace over the three states, namely—Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand. Read less
In fact, starting from today evening, many parts of these three states will experience rain and thundershower, and this weather activity is likely to continue till May 19.
Those who are visiting these areas during the said dates must take precaution and gather all the information before heading here as there might be huge traffic jams due to landslides. Further, those going for the Char Dham Yatra are also cautioned against fresh snowfall on the peaks.
Rishikesh, Shimla, Nainital, and Haridwar will, however, enjoy pleasant weather and will remain off from the risk radar.
