Pracheen Mandir Chandrakoop, means ancient, mandir, koop if you translate it word by word. It's a 5000-year old temple with a well inside. The well is also known as Draupadi Koop, legend has it that Draupadi used to take a bath in that well every day. Remember the game of dice that was one of the strongest reasons behind the war of Mahabharata? Pandavas had lost everything to Kauravas in the gambling game. They had put their material wealth, themselves and their wife Draupadi at stake. Hence, Draupadi was asked to come to the court by Duryodhan. When she refused, angry Dushasana grabbed her by hair and dragged her forcefully to the court where he tried to unwrap her sari in front of all Kauravas and Pandavas. Owing to this humiliation, Draupadi vowed not to tie her hair till she washes them with Dushasana's blood. It was at this koop where she washed her hair with his blood after Bhima killed him in the war.
