Back in 1930, the then hunter Jim Corbett, hunted his largest ever tiger who was nicknamed as the Bachelor of Pawalgarh. Jim Corbett achieved this feat after a decade of hit and miss. He later wrote a story on the famed tiger and the hunt in his 1944 book, Man-Eaters of Kumaon. Jim Corbett would later turn into one of the most dedicated conservationists.
