A much revered hill station near Pune, Panchgani sits between five hills of the Sahyadirs, and is one of the most visited destinations for nature-lovers. With an offbeat character, the hill station of Panchgani was initially inhabited by the British who went there to spend peaceful days amidst nature. Here you will find the longest mountain plateau in Asia that covers a total area of 95 acres, and is at 4500 ft above sea level. With an offbeat character, the hill station of Panchgani was initially inhabited by the British who went there to spend peaceful days amidst nature. Here you will find the longest mountain plateau in Asia that covers a total area of 95 acres, and is at 4500 ft above sea level. Sydney and Parsi Points are two of the most important places to visit from where tourists can get a view of River Krishna. The place has some beautiful caves 10 km away from here, and these are the most interesting attractions in these parts. The place is known as Rajapuri, and there are four caves here. This is also a great place for a day spent outdoors.
