Every Thursday evening, the downtown area of Palm Springs city transforms into the Palm Springs Village Fest (also known as the Palm Springs Street Fair) drawing tourists and locals who can stroll amidst an array of stalls that sell fruits, vegetables, flowers, jewellery, snacks and sweets. Regarded as one of the most popular weekly events of Southern California, the fair was started in 2004.
