Travel plans to begin as Southwest monsoon hits Kerala

Monsoon magic in Kerala seems to have arrived earlier than it was predicted, as India Meteorological Department (IMD) confirmed that southwest monsoon hit Kerala on Tuesday. Monsoon in India start from the state of Kerala, and the official date for its arrival is generally set at June. The monsoon then continues for four months travelling all across the country.

The IMD has also mentioned that monsoon this year would be a normal, with normal rainfall all over the country.

The state of Kerala usually experiences two types of rains in the monsoon season, the Southwest Monsoon, and the Northeast Monsoon.
