There is good news for Indian travellers going to Britain, as the UK government has now said that you won’t need to fill land cards at the airport. The decision has been made as part of a series of measures that were recently taken in order to ease entry into the UK.
According to Karen Dee, Chief Executive, Airport Operators Association, UK, airports are getting prepared for the busy summer months, and avoiding long queues is now easy as landing cards are no more needed.
While tourists from Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, and the US are permitted to access ePassport gates, Indians cannot do this as of yet. These ePassport gates can be used by travellers from the above mentioned countries, which are located at various ports all across the country.
The new rule is expected to improve the fluidity and also security for people coming to the UK.
