One of the most important features of this island is the Narara Marine National Park, established in 1982. The national park is a crucial part of the Gulf of Kutch Marine National Park. This national park was established with the purpose of preserving marine life and the surrounding coral reefs. Narara National Park is spread across an area of approximately 162 square kilometres, and the park supports an ecosystem that is truly unique.
