Mumbai rains update: hundreds of people stranded in Mumbai Airport

Mumbai rains are getting worse day by day, and owing to the current situation, hundreds of passengers were stuck in the Mumbai airport for hours. Irritated passengers took on Twitter to voice their worst nightmares and woes, stating what they were going through because of flight cancellations and long delays.
People complained about how the airlines and their staff were not at all prepared for an emergency situation that might arise anytime, especially at one of India’s busiest airports! Given the heavy rain and waterlogging situation, the city is suffering through bad traffic jams as well, owing to which, cabin crew and pilots were not able to reach for scheduled flights on time.

The passengers were asked to wait for hours at the airport, both inside and outside the aircraft, while heavy rain continued to wash Mumbai for the second day straight on Wednesday. The whole city is certainly taken aback by this sudden out of proportion rainfall.
A number of passengers were stuck at the terminal as the flights were delayed or cancelled. The irritated passengers also complained that the airlines’ staff did not help them at all. They have also complained about no on their flights even after inquiring about the same. This left passengers in a dilemma and a lot of speculation.

Addressing the concern, IndiGo airlines issued a statement which mentioned that because of around 30 flights were grounded. Also, due to waterlogging and roadblocks, the city is reeling under traffic jams, which caused issues for the ground support staff, cabin crew and pilots as well.
