Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), one of the busiest train stations in the country, has ranked second on the list of World’s Most Amazing Railway Stations in a report released by Wonderlist. The said list also has names of railway stations from across the world that are not just mere railway stations but are also ‘architectural triumphs as well as historical relics’. Read less
While the list was dominated by the Grand Central Terminal in New York, the third spot was grabbed by St. Pancras International in London. As per the list, these are the stations the top 10 stations―Grand Central Terminal, New York; Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai; St. Pancras International, London; Atocha Station, Madrid; Antwerp Central, Antwerp; Gare du Nord, Paris, Sirkeci Station, Istanbul, CFM Railway Station, Maputo; Kanazawa Station, Kanazawa; Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, Malaysia.
CSMT railway station has also been adjudged as the Best Swachh Iconic Place along with the Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir as per the rankings of Swachh Iconic Places released by the Ministry of Jal Shakti recently.
