As per latest news reports, Mizoram is all geared up to host Paragliding Accuracy World Cup and Grand Festival at Serchhip town, located 90 km away from Aizawl, the state capital. This grand festival will be held from February 10 to 16 next year. This was announced recently by Mizoram Tourism Minister Robert Romawia. Read less
Referring to this development, the minister stated that around 130 best paragliders, and 20 officials from different countries of the world will be taking part in this event that is scheduled to be held in Serchipp’s Dawngzawl. He also mentioned that during this event, Mizoram will be representing India.
The minister while announcing this event, also expressed hope that this event might help boost tourism in this region, and attract tourists from across the world. He further mentioned that the state tourism department will also be organising a grand festival along with this paragliding world cup, to showcase the ethnicity and diversity of Mizoram to the world.
