Six Flags Great Adventure

Conveniently located between several east-coast metropolitan areas, including New York City and Philadelphia, Six Flags Great Adventure is easy to reach from many places on the East Coast. With a roster of over 76 attractions as of 2006, Six Flags Great Adventure is home to several of the most heart-racing rides worldwide. Six Flags is home to Kingda Ka—the world's fastest and tallest roller coaster. The roller coaster shoots its riders to a staggering 456 ft in the air at a speed of 128 mph in only 3.5 sec. Kingda Ka then hurtles riders spiralling down toward earth, with a total ride time of a mere 30 sec from the beginning to the end.

Six Flags Great Adventure is divided into various sections, each with its own themed rides, food, and attractions. The Mexican-themed Plaza del Carnaval features El Toro and Rolling Thunder, both wooden roller coasters, along with many smaller similarly themed rides. Six Flags Great Adventure also offers its guests many places to eat, including Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and Papa John's Pizza.
