Seems like the Louvre Museum staff is unable to keep up with heavy tourist inflow everyday. Just last month, the officials decided to restrict the entry of visitors in the museum following the chaos and long queue. Being one of the world's most visited museum and home to Leonardo DaVinci’s supremely famous Mona Lisa painting, the museum experiences a large number of tourist footfalls almost each day. The staff got so angry and frustrated one day that the museum was closed for a day in the month of May as a protest.
How the officials are coping with the crowd?
Considering the crowd that the museum receives on a daily basis, the management has decided to come up with proper and prompt solutions. One among them is the introduction of obligatory advance booking option.
Most of the tourists (mostly Chinese and Americans) here come to see the famous painting of Mona Lisa. So, now the vice president of the museum has made the booking mandatory where visitors can choose a time slot.
If someone comes without reservation, chances are he/she might have to wait for long or maybe they don’t even get the chance of getting inside the museum as ticket booking is the only way to enter the museum.
So from now on, online ticket booking is compulsory for those visiting the famous Louvre museum.
