Kuta has a huge, wide beach and the water is perfect for learning to surf. It is also home to the most lively nightlife scene on the island and is a favourite with backpackers and budget travellers due to the reasonable accommodation, eating and drinking costs but there is something here for everyone which makes it one of the most popular resorts in Bali. Kuta is also conveniently located only 10 minutes away from the airport.
Staying in Kuta can be great fun for those looking for a lively atmosphere in the heart of the action but those who are looking for a peaceful, relaxing escape would be better off choosing a more laid back resort elsewhere on the island.
