Guwahati experienced a temperature of 9 degree Celsius, whereas in Shillong it was 5 degree Celsius. Nagaland’s commercial town Dimapur experienced the winter chill at 8 degree Celsius.
In some parts of Nagaland’s four districts, namely Kiphire, Zunheboto, Phek and Tuensangit, it has snowed after a gap of 37 years.
The area is expected to remain dry for the coming two days, and there might be light to moderate rain in the next three days. People living in remote areas of the Northeast, barring Arunachal Pradesh, have been advised to watch out for thick fog in the coming days.
