Jowai is a small yet busy town and might not give you a glitzy and glamorous holiday. But, if you have come so far (geographically), it’s safe to assume that you are not here for that. So, when in Jowai, hit the road and travel locally, for most cool adventure spots are only short distances away.
For instance, the famous Krang Suri waterfall lies just 30 km from Jowai. Here, you can rent a life vest and go swim in the falls. Closer than that is the Tyrshi Falls, located just 8 km from Jowai. It is a popular local hang out spot, and the waterfall is stunning!
So now you know why you need to add Jowai to your Meghalaya wishlist.
