At the same time, high-altitude regions in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh continue to suffer from heavy snowfall. This has also affected the commute as the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was shut down on Monday due to snowfall.
On the other hand, cold has increased in Punjab and other regions because of the continuing rainfall. Punjab’s Gurdaspur region recorded the minimum temperature, pegged at 4.8 degree Celsius while Chandigarh recorded 10.9 degree Celsius.
