The train has five Deluxe Cabin cars, six Junior Suite cars, two suite cars and Navratna, an exclusive Presidential Suite car.

There are two amazing restaurants onboard – Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal – both serving Indian and world cuisines. The flagship luxury train of IRCTC, the Maharajas’ Express offers four bespoke journeys – Heritage of India, Treasures of India, The Indian Panorama and The Indian Splendour. The fare is according to your cabin category and your itinerary. The minimum fare (for 4D/3N) starts from $3490, and goes up to $23700 per person (on double occupancy). These fares are not inclusive of taxes. It is not one of the most expensive train rides in the world for nothing.



All these train talks and no destination? Of course, there are. The Maharajas’ Express runs on four different circuits. In total, it covers more than 12 destinations across North-West and Central India.


The Heritage of India, which is a 7N/ 8D circuit will take you through the Mumbai – Udaipur – Jodhpur – Bikaner – Jaipur – Ranthambore and Fatehpur Sikri – Agra and Delhi route.



The Indian Panorama circuit, also 7N/ 8D, will take you on the Delhi – Jaipur – Ranthambore and Fatehpur Sikri – Agra – Orchha and Khajuraho – Varanasi – Delhi route.


The 7N/8D Indian Splendour runs the Delhi – Agra – Ranthambore – Jaipur – Bikaner – Jodhpur – Udaipur – Mumbai route. And lastly, the Treasures of India circuit for 3N/ 4D runs the Delhi – Agra – Ranthambore – Jaipur – Delhi route.
