The United States of America is home to some of the most beautiful forests in the world. As per the estimates, 33.2% of America is forested, making it a haven for those who love the great outdoors and the wilderness. Cherokee National Forest, Tennessee
If you love the great outdoors, picnics, sports, camping and more, Cherokee is for you. It is spread over 650,000 acres and is one of the most loved forests in the States.
It is also home to the beautiful and ever-inviting Appalachian National Scenic Trail, Citico Creek Wilderness and the Ocoee River.
Coconino National Forest, Arizona
This is where you will find a very surprising mix of different topographies; from pine forests to red rocks to Alpine wonderlands, deserts and more, Coconino has it all. It is spread over 1,856,038 acres and is a place like no other.
Fishlake National Forest, Utah
While these aspens are one of the most famous things about this forest, there's more to Fishlake than this. It is home to beautiful lakes, towering peaks, canyons and more. It's one of Utah's best-kept secrets.
Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wyoming
This is for the sheer love of the rugged winter that the region sees. It sprawls across 3.4 million acres in Western Wyoming and is a delight to explore. It is also the 3rd largest national forest outside Alaska.
Dixie National Forest, Utah
This wonderful forest is spread over 2 million acres in Southern Utah. It is famous for its canyons, rock formations and the beautiful ponderosa pines. The rock formations here are nothing less than fascinating.
Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington
One of Washington's many charms, Gifford sprawls across a massive 1,321,506 acres. Other than the stunning landscape, it is also home to black bears, elk mountain lions, coyotes, deer and more. It also harbours a number of threatened species.
Sequoia National Park, California
Oh well, this forest could be the poster for every story on America's most beautiful forests. Among its many stars, this is home to General Sherman, the largest known living single-stem tree on the planet!
Redwood National And State Parks, California
Not just a forest, Redwoods are a group of forests, grasslands and more, each one of them more beautiful than the other. Redwoods are also famous for being home to the tallest trees on the planet! Apart from it, there is around 40 miles of rugged coastline that is a part of it too.
Tongass National Forest, Alaska
When in America, there are just a few place that you will find as wild as Alaska. To understand more of this, head to the Tongass National Forest. It is also the biggest US national forest and is spread across a whopping 16.7 million acres.
Yosemite National Park, California
This is the most famous of all! Yosemite is set in the Sierra Nevada mountains and is home to the beautiful and majestic El Capitan, Half Dome, Tunnel View, Bridalveil Falls and a lot more. The sequoia trees here are otherworldly.
