The Indian Railways has introduced the facility of Suvidha trains that will allow people to book confirmed tickets on Indian Railways’ train routes. Also known as the Premium Express, the Suvidha trains policy was introduced by the Ministry of Railways in 2015.
The cost of tickets for the Indian Railways Suvidha trains would be higher than that of normal trains; the same can be booked through IRCTC e-ticketing website. You can also book these Suvidha train tickets from railway ticket counters.
You can book Suvidha trains within the maximum advance reservation period of 120 days. And there are no concessions provided by IRCTC for these trains. Hence, as an adult, you would have to pay the full fare, irrespective of your age.
You are needed to cancel your Suvidha train ticket at least 6 hours before its scheduled departure time, and before the chart is prepared. 50 per cent of the booking amount will be returned to you; in case of e-tickets, you will get the money back into your bank account.
The new facility is going to make things a lot easier for working people, businessmen, and people needing medical attention. The Indian Railways has a vast network connecting all cities in the city, and this new facility aims to be a boon for everyone.
