If you don’t want to miss your flight, report 3 - 4 hours before flight departure

Keeping up with the security measures ahead of Independence Day, all airports across the country are taking some extra measures. Due to that, all airlines and passengers are advised to reach 3 - 4 hours before their scheduled flight. Passengers taking domestic flights are told to reach at least three hours in advance, while for those taking international flights, the reporting time has been increased to four hours, prior to their scheduled flights (for the Independence Day weekend).
All the budget airlines in India have come up with travel advisories to meet the security arrangements. Besides, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) had already stiffened the security at every airport with the recent Jammu and Kashmir situation. The centre’s decision of scrapping Article 370 that provided Jammu & Kashmir with a special status has received mixed reactions from across the country.

The same has been kept in mind, and airport security has tightened with the latest developments. All the vehicles that will enter the airport will have to pass through some intensive security checks; there are additional checkpoints set up by the police for vehicle checking. Also, the increased security checks at all airports also involves on-ground monitoring of all the aircrafts as well.
In addition, security has already been strengthened in and outside and around all aviation installations and cargo terminals.
