How to reach Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, the former capital of Gujarat, is home to some lovely lakes, old monuments and famous museums. By road:
The state of Gujarat has best road transportation system in whole of country. Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) and interstate bus services here link Ahmedabad with major cities in the state as well as in India. There are regular buses for Mumbai, Shirdi, Pune, Bhavnagar and Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad. Those driving from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will have to cover a distance of about 530 km that takes around 9 to 10 hours via NH 8.

By train:
The city of Ahmedabad is well linked to most part of the country via an extensive rail network. A number of superfast and express trains are available for metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai from Ahmedabad Railway Station, which is also known as Kalupur Station. After reaching the station, travellers can avail services of auto rickshaws, taxis and city buses to reach the city.
