Hong Kong tops the list of the most visited city of 2019, Delhi and Mumbai in top 20

The latest edition of the ‘Top 100 City Destinations 2019’ is released and based on international arrivals over the last year (2019), Hong Kong is ranked number 1 in the list of ‘the most visited city of 2019. The report was released by a UK-based market research firm called Euromonitor International Top 100 City Destinations 2019.
It’s surprising good news for the city, considering the fact how tourism industry was affected after anti-government protests began in Hong Kong in June. The clash was absolutely violent among police and people, life had come to still in the city after the Hong Kong international airport was closed and a number of tourists were stuck. It did discouraged tourists, but still Hong Kong topped the list with 29,262,700 arrivals (2018) / 26,716,800 arrivals (2019).

Other than this, New Delhi and Mumbai in India have made it to the list. While Delhi with 12,645,300 arrivals (2018) / 15,196,500 arrivals (2019) is on number 11, Mumbai with 10,590,100 arrivals (2018) / 12,442,400 arrivals (2019) is on number 14 in the chart.
