Travel in Finland’s Helsinki is all set to take a revolutionary turn as the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle has joined hands with the students from the Metropolia and Haaga-Helia universities of applied sciences to envision a hyperloop capsule through a vacuum tube that will enable passengers to travel from Helsinki to Tallinn, a distance of close to 90 km, in just 15 minutes by the year 2050. The hyperloop capsule is expected to run at a speed of 1,200 km/hr when operational.

There are other plans too and that is building of a tunnel which will connect Helsinki and Tallinn in 30 min. The Rail Baltica network will make this journey feasible and for the journey further from Tallinn to Berlin via Warsaw, which will make the journey possible in just 10 hours.
Also coming up is an intercity train which will run for an hour and connect Helsinki and Turku, and also Turku and Tampere. In fact, speculations are rife that by 2050, Finland might even be home to super-fast magnetic levitation tracks, on which elevated trains would be able to run at a speed of 600 km/hr.
