Galtaji, Jaipur

Galtaji is a very old pilgrimage site located in the Pink City, Jaipur. It is situated in the middle of low hills and draws several locals and tourists. Galtaji is a charming place having temples, pavilions and holy kunds (natural springs and water tanks).
Galtaji is also noted for its Ramgopalji temple, also called the Monkey temple (Galwar Bagh). The temple has been named so because of the resident monkeys always seen loitering around the site. Nonetheless, the presence of monkeys and the green surroundings made this place unique. A shrine dedicated to the sun god, called the Surya Mandir, is located on the hill top.

Overall, it is a place where one can take a dip in the holy kund, worship the gods and spend hours admiring the picturesque region where this site is located.
