Over the past few weeks, the drive-in/drive-thru trend has surged across the globe. Following the trend, the iconic Yankee Stadium is being prepared for an uptown drive-in festival, wherein people would be able to enjoy movies, music, and even dinner.
The festival is being organised by a hospitality group, working in the Bronx community. A member of the group said that they are planning to have the Bronx Night Market, the Bronx Beer Festival and Uptown Epicure Festival this summer. These festivals were already planned for the month of May.
The drive-in festival will be organised on weekends this summer and the Yankee Stadium’s parking lot will play the host. According to resources, the festival will feature local music artists from New York City and the food will be prepared by the local street vendors.
There would also be interactive activities and games to keep the visitors entertained. Interestingly, all these events will be live and will be held on a raised stage to make viewing easy for people. Also, the audio will be broadcasted to visitors’ car radios and there will be several events catering to families.
Though the dates and ticket prices have not been announced officially, the events will take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.
