Eiffel Tower shuts down temporarily because of an illegal climber

Eiffel Tower, one of the most-visited tourist attractions in the world and in Paris, has been shut down for tourists on a temporary basis as a man tried to climb it illegally. Given the fact that Paris is counted among the best tourist destinations in the world, the city’s security system is quite strict, but a man still managed to pass through the security gates unnoticed and started climbing the outside of the tower.
The security officials at the gate were speechless as they had no idea how the man got past them. In no time, people in and around the spot started sharing photos and videos of the daredevil on their social media platforms. Soon after, the city’s tallest tower was shut down for tourists, and police along with fire rescue teams managed to get hold of the man.

According to the city police, the intentions or motivations of the climber still remain unclear. As of reopening the gates of the Eiffel Tower, there is no definitive timetable for when it will open again for visitors.
Eiffel Tower is a huge structure standing tall at a height of 1,063 ft and this is not the first time that someone tried to scale it illegally. A number of incidents have happened in the past and there have been several daredevils who tried to climb it illegally. But one incident from the year 2015 got really famous when a British man called James Kingston reached the top of Eiffel Tower without any safety gear, which was a huge accomplishment in itself.

As of now, the illegal climber has been reportedly arrested and is under police custody, but the tower has been closed for security purposes for an unknown period.
