Though the officials have not made any announcement yet on how they plan to reopen the Orlando theme park, speculation is that it could open in July. On Disney World’s official website, the dates through the end of June show unavailable for all hotels.
But, for July, it shows open and if local reports are to be believed, reservations for the hotels have begun already. Until Monday, Disney’s Pop Century had recorded 158 bookings while Disney’s All-Star Movie Resort was showing 127 bookings.
According to the official website of Disney World, “Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings may be modified and will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, based on direction from health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing.”
The theme park is also allowing guests who had booked their rooms for existing dates to modify their reservations. Disney has clearly mentioned on its website that while they are accepting reservations for July, “a reopening date has not been identified.”
It was earlier announced by the officials that Disney Springs would reopen on May 20 with a limited number of shops and restaurants. Apparently, the world-famous and everyone’s favourite theme park was shuttered on March 15 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday, Shanghai Disneyland in China too opened its gates to the public for the first time since January after the Coronavirus outbreak. The popular Chinese theme park has finally reopened with stringent rules and regulations, including a limit on the number of visitors, maintaining strict social distancing and compulsory face masks for all.
