Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia proposed to launch a Branding Delhi scheme on Monday to transform the capital into India’s tourism capital. News reports state that Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, while presenting the said budget in Delhi Assembly, stated that the capital has all the resources to transform into the tourism capital of the country. The Delhi government also proposed a Campaign for Communal Harmony in the wake of recent violence in northeast Delhi that left more than 50 dead and 200 injured.
Working on these lines, the Delhi government in order to introduce the capital as the tourism brand, it has announced a 100-crore scheme that will help create new jobs in the sector.
