Delhi Metro Magenta Line: some interesting features of the ‘driverless’ train

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Delhi Metro’s Magenta line in Noida on 25th December, which is full of some absolutely interesting features that are also unique to this line. Quite Interestingly, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) completed 15 years of operations on this day. Further, on the day of inauguration, Mr. Modi looked quite happy and said that it was his dream to see India where petrol imports would reduce, and to achieve this, state of the art mass transit systems are the need of the hour.

With the introduction of the new metro line, commuters travelling on Noida to South Delhi route are extremely happy because now they don’t need to change metros at various stations. Before Magenta line, passengers going to South Delhi from Noida had to cross 10 stations in order to reach Mandi House and it used to take around 50 min to complete the journey. But now the travel time has been reduced to around 20 min, which is absolutely commendable.
