Director of Kashmir Tourism, referring to this development, recently said that there are around 16 viewing points, which will be developed with a blend of traditional and modern architecture. Reportedly, in an effort to lure tourists and restore the beauty of the famous island, i.e., Char Chinari, the tourism authorities went ahead to plant Chinar trees on the island.
While Dal Lake is one of the spots that determine the bar of Srinagar’s visual beauty, its long association with Bollywood has further made it a must-visit spot for everyone. Spread over 18 sq km, this is the second largest lake in Kashmir. In fact, no visit to Kashmir can be considered complete if you don’t pay a visit to this lake, and ride the very popular Shikara (wooden boat) ride. And while riding the boat, the experience of other boats floating past you and trying to sell various items is quite overwhelming.
