As per recent COVID 19 update, now Spain too has gone under complete lockdown after Begona Gomez, the wife of the country’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez was tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Spain, a densely populated country of more than 47 million people, made the announcement. Read less
As per recent COVID 19 update, now Spain too has gone under complete lockdown after Begona Gomez, the wife of the country’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez was tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Spain, a densely populated country of more than 47 million people, made the announcement.
According to the official statement, the shutdown will be effective immediately, and residents are asked to stay home until they need to buy food, medicines, or it is a hospital emergency. All the restaurants, bars and shops selling food and other staples have been shut down. Along with this, the public places and sports activities are also closed, including schools, colleges, theatres, swimming pools, gymnasiums or any public place.
As of now, the nation’s army and police have taken the responsibility of disinfecting the train stations and ordering people strolling on roads to go home. These brave men can be seen in protective suits and masks.
The current coronavirus death toll in Spain has gone by 152 overnight to 288 while the number of infected rose by 2,000 cases to 7,753.
