It gives you a glimpse of the royal life style these people led back in those days. Built in 1793 AD by Raja Bhaktawar Singh, this palace consists of marble pavilions with bases made of lotus flower in the large central courtyard. Read less
Also known as Vinay Vilas Mahal, City Palace is an architectural wonder and a beautiful blend of Mughal and Rajasthani style. It gives you a glimpse of the royal life style these people led back in those days. Built in 1793 AD by Raja Bhaktawar Singh, this palace consists of marble pavilions with bases made of lotus flower in the large central courtyard. The palace has many entries and they are named as Jai Pol, Suraj Pol, Laxman Pol, Chand Pol, Kishan Pol and Andheri Gate. City palace has 15 impressive towers and 51 smaller towers overlooking the mountain slopes. The walls and ceilings are embellished with marvellous work of murals and mirror work.
