This Dussehra, Chandigarh city in India will be burning the tallest effigy of Ravana in the world. News has it that a huge effigy of Ravana has been set up at the Parade Ground of Chandigarh’s Dhanas Colony. Standing tall at 221 feet, this effigy is the largest of all its kind in India.
The speciality of this effigy is not only its size, albeit its water proof nature as well. It has been made to withstand heavy rain and storm. Furthermore, the authorities in charge of Dussehra celebrations in Chandigarh have made a boundary measuring 500 feet for the safety of this effigy.
Another special feature of this towering effigy of Ravana is that its eye has been so made that no matter from where it is seen, it will appear as if the effigy’s eyes are on every person.
