Once a run-down business district, this area south of the city centre has become one of KL's most fashionable destinations and is home to an affluent expatriate population. In recent years, a collection of quirky boutiques, internationally themed restaurants and hip bars has energised the neighbourhood and given it a truly cosmopolitan flavour.
Main drag Jalan Telawi is absolutely hopping after midnight, with establishments running the gamut from hushed and exclusive wine bars to rowdy English and Irish expat pubs. KL's ubiquitous street traders keep the party-animals fed 24/7.
